How does the app work?
Daybreak is free for all Australian residents and is fully subsidised by the Department of Health.
When anxiety and urges strike, you can get help right away on your phone. Give and get support and encouragement from like-minded people facing the same challenges as you. Users can also connect with professional health coaches.
It is anonymous and secure, and a moderated community safe-space.
The efficacy of the app has been evaluated by Curtin University’s National Drug Research Institute. Active Daybreak members reduced their drinking from 37 standard drinks a week to 17 over three months.
